Advanced Wilderness Therapeutic Interventions, is a course of 8 sessions, ran over consecutive weeks.
These courses involve pre-assessment working with parents/carers, teachers and any existing therapists to establish specific objectives and select a group that will best meet the needs within it.
Ongoing evaluation throughout, enables adaptions and interventions that best support the individual needs within the group. Outcomes are measured, using NICE recognised tools and an Impact Assessment Report is produced, with follow up guidance and support where appropriate.
I am in the later stages of completing my Advanced Wilderness Therapy training and preparing to bring these services to the local community.
Wilderness Therapy is a combination of bushcraft woven together with therapeutic interventions, that address the feelings and needs that arise from earlier child hood trauma and neurodiversity.
I am currently offering the bushcraft element of this training along with my holistic health approaches and a team of therapists and educators through http://www.ConnectedInNature.com
As well as the empowerment and confidence building that comes with the bushcraft and survival skills such as building shelter, creating fire and the safe use of tools, it also provides a nurturing and safe space for you to feel heard and understood, working with mindfulness principles, metaphor, and personal reflection tools. Working on individual objectives for personal growth and development, building self esteem and exploring an array of coping strategies for life. The approach and impact is holistic as it works to improve; mental, emotional, physical and spiritual health.
The aim of these sessions are for participants to gain:
Celebrancy
I am thrilled to be able to offer services to host opening and closing ceremonies for festivals and events, bring people together through hand fasting, naming and welcoming celebrations. I specialise in offering these services in the great outdoors however I am able to adapt to suit your needs.
